The "Le Bel" Chemistry Research Federation (Fédération de chimie "Le Bel", UAR 2042), formerly known as FR 2010, which is associated with three joint research units (UMRs) on the Esplanade site, namely UMR 7177 (Strasbourg Institute of Chemistry – Institut de chimie de Strasbourg), UMR 7140 (Chemistry of Complex Matter – Chimie de la matière complexe), and UMR 7006 (Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering – Institut de science et d'ingénierie supramoléculaire - Isis), was created in 2018 from an association agreement between the CNRS and the University of Strasbourg and brings together the analysis platform for chemistry recently renamed Anastralyse (Cortecs certified) and shared services ("Computing and Networks" and "Mechanical Design Workshop").
The mission of the "Le Bel" Chemistry Research Federation is to pool the chemical analysis resources on the Esplanade site and to provide companies and all the researchers and teacher-researchers on the Strasbourg sites with a high-level scientific platform bringing together the main molecular chemistry characterisation techniques as well as its expertise in IT and mechanical design.
